Thresher Base holds six regular meetings per year on the third Saturday of the months of January, March, May, July. September & November. Additionally, Thresher Base hosts a Memorial Day service at Albacore Park as well as the Annual USS Thresher Memorial Service, held on the Saturday closest to April 10.
51st Annual USS Thresher Memorial Service
On Saturday, April 12, 2014, the 51st Annual USS Thresher Memorial Service hosted by USSVI Thresher Base will be held at the R. W. Traip Academy Auditorium honoring the loss of 129 crew members, US Naval Submarine Officer Observers, and civilian support personnel aboard the USS Thresher during sea trials off the New England coast 50 years ago on April 10, 1963.
The memorial service will begin at 1300. The auditorium doors will open at 1130.

USSVI Groton Base's
SubVets 50th Anniversary Celebration
Come celebrate the USSVI Groton Base 50th Anniversary Weekend where it all started. Groton Base “First and Finest”, is proud to host the eleventh annual SUBVETS Anniversary Weekend. It will be held in the “Submarine Capital of the World”, Groton CT, 01-03 May 2014. This event is a great opportunity for all Submariners to come back to where we all got started, to see the advances we have made in Submarine technology, and to perpetuate the memories of all Submariners.

Memorial Day Service @ Albacore Park
Join with your Thresher Base brothers and members of the Friends of Albacore on Monday, 26 May 2014 @ 1000 to remember those who gave the supreme sacrifice while serving in the United States Navy, Marines, Army, Air Force & Coast Guard.
Kittery Memorial Park / Circle of Honor Dedication
Thresher Memorial Planning Group has sent a request for approval to conduct the dedication ceremony of Kittery’s Memorial Park, adjacent to Town Hall at 200 Rogers Road, on Monday, May 26th (Memorial Day holiday 2014) at 1000 to the Town Council for its April 16th Regular meeting agenda.
Anticipate a formal cornerstone laying ceremony to be conducted by the Grand Lodge of Maine, Ancient Free and Accepted Masons (AF & AM), for the USS Thresher monument and Circle of Honor Courtyard. A time-honored stately and dignified tradition, their service honors the Masons lost on the Thresher and acknowledges the great many who built and worked on her.
Final details will be promulgated as soon as they have been confirmed.

July 2014 Thresher Base Holland Club Induction & WWII SubVet Lobster Bake
The July 2014 WWII SubVet & Thresher Base Lobster Fest & Holland Club Induction Ceremony will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2014 @ 1200 at the Raymond E. Walton American Legion Post 70, 169 Walton Road, Seabrook, NH.
