lost aboard USS Thresher

on April 10, 1963

Future Events

Thresher Base holds six regular meetings per year on the third Saturday of the months of January, March, May, July. September & November. Additionally, Thresher Base hosts a Memorial Day service at Albacore Park as well as the Annual USS Thresher Memorial Service, held on the Saturday closest to April 10.
Wake & Funeral Service For Carl Weber

WWII Submarine Veteran

Thresher Base Member & Former Secretary, WWII Submarine Veterans Squalus Chapter Carl Weber departed on Final Patrol on Thursday, May 2, 2013.

Join us as we perform a prayer and hand salute at his wake, Sunday, May 5 @ 1500 at the Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home located at 370 Main St., Nashua, NH. Calling hours for the wake are from 1400 to 1600.

The WWII SubVets are planning to perform a prayer ceremony at the graveside funeral service on Monday, May 6 @ 1100 at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH.

Carl has touched many with his humor and his warm and caring manner. His contributions to our Nations Defense in the Submarine Force as well as his volunteer contributions to WWII SubVets & Thresher Base will never be forgotten.

May 2013 Thresher Base Meeting

The May 2013 meeting will be held on Saturday, May 18 @ 1200 at Newick's Seafood Restaurant, 431 Dover Point Rd., Dover, NH. A map with Google Maps directions are available via the link above.
Memorial Day Service - Albacore Park

The 2013 Memorial Day Service will be held on Monday, May 27 @ 1000 at Albacore Park, 600 Market Street, Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
July 2013 Thresher Base Meeting, Lobster Fest

& Holland Club Induction Ceremony

The July 2013 Thresher Base meeting and Holland Club Induction Ceremony will be held on Saturday, July 20th @ 1200 at the Raymond E. Walton American Legion Post 70, 169 Walton Road, Seabrook, NH. The Sons of the American Legion will hold a Lobster Fest immediately after the completion of the Holland Club Induction Ceremony.
