John was in the Merchant Marines prior to enlisting in the US Navy in May 1947, where he served for over 30 years. Synopsis of John’s career follows:
EDUCATION: BS, MPA, JD
CIVILIAN Employment: Technical Representative with VITRO Labs and ESSEX, both jobs were at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.
OTHER: Served on Volunteer Fire Department, Budget Committee, and Board of Selectmen at New Castle, NH. He was a State Representative for the towns of New Castle, Rye, and North Hampton, NH. John also served 8-years on various state committees at Concord, NH such as Vice Chair of State Institutions Committee, Chairman of Judiciary Committee, Chairman of Committee Overseeing Operations of Rockingham County Attorney's Office, Member of NH Judicial Council, and a Member of NH Court Accreditation Commission. Post Commander for Veterans of Foreign War (VFW) in Portsmouth, NH for two terms.
