EM2(SS) John McArdle qualified aboard the USS Narwhal (SS-671) in 1978.

John's work history post USN is as follows:

   Stone and Webster Engineering 1980-1987 (Boston, MA)

   Yankee Atomic Electric Company/Duke Engineering and Services 1987-2001 (Marlborough MA)

   Town of Plaistow (NH) Volunteer Fire Firefighter/EMT 1990-2001

   Town of Plaistow (NH) Fire Chief 2001-2020

John currently serves as Thresher Base's Secretary. John served as Thresher Base's Commander for four years.

John married Judy May in 1984. They have two children, Erin born in 1988 & Maureen born in 1990. John and Judy currently reside in Laconia, NH.
