November 15, 1989 to perpetuate
the memories and honor the legacy
of the 129 gallant men
lost aboard USS Thresher
on April 10, 1963
Thresher Base holds six regular meetings per year on the third Saturday of the months of January, March, May, July. September & November. Additionally, Thresher Base hosts a Memorial Day service at Albacore Park as well as the Annual USS Thresher Memorial Service, held on the Saturday closest to April 10.

60th Annual USS Thresher Memorial Service

Join your fellow USSVI Thresher Base, USS Maine Base & Marblehead Base members who are hosting the USS Thresher Family & Former Crew at the 60th Annual USS Thresher Memorial Service on Saturday, April 15 @ 1300 at R.W. Traip Academy, 12 Williams Ave. Kittery, Maine.
Formal invitations will be mailed on on Saturday, April 4, 2023 to USS Thresher Family & Former Crew Members, PNS and VIPs.
Due to limited seating, Submarine Veterans, PNS Employees and Civilians are required to RSVP online.
