November 15, 1989 to perpetuate
the memories and honor the legacy
of the 129 gallant men
lost aboard USS Thresher
on April 10, 1963
Thresher Base holds six regular meetings per year on the third Saturday of the months of January, March, May, July. September & November. Additionally, Thresher Base hosts a Memorial Day service at Albacore Park as well as the Annual USS Thresher Memorial Service, held on the Saturday closest to April 10.

National Wreaths across America Ceremony
600 Market St., Portsmouth, NH
Join your fellow Thresher Base members, Veterans from other US Military Services & supportive civilians for the National Wreaths across America Ceremony at Albacore Park.
The brief ceremony will start promptly at noon coincident with ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery and 1443 other cemeteries across our Nation.
The first portion of the ceremony will be held indoors, followed by the wreath laying in Albacore Park's Memorial Garden.
Help us promote this event by inviting other Veterans, friends and associates to join with you in paying tribute to our Veterans who have given their life to protect our Nation.
To perpetuate the memory of our shipmates who gave their lives in the
pursuit of their duties while serving their country.
That their dedication, deeds and supreme sacrifice be a
constant source of motivation toward greater accomplishments.
Pledge loyalty and patriotism to the United States of America and its Constitution.
