the memories and honor the legacy
of the 129 gallant men
lost aboard USS Thresher
on April 10, 1963
Thresher Base holds six regular meetings per year on the third Saturday of the months of January, March, May, July. September & November. Additionally, Thresher Base hosts a Memorial Day service at Albacore Park as well as the Annual USS Thresher Memorial Service, held on the Saturday closest to April 10.
The 57th Annual USS Thresher Memorial Service has been canceled due to the COVID-19 virus.
The 58th Annual USS Thresher Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021.
The 57th Annual USS Thresher Memorial Service originally scheduled for Saturday April 18, 2020 at the R.W. Traip Academy Auditorium has been canceled due to the COVID-19 virus.
Please mark your calendars for Saturday, April 10, 2021 for the 58th Annual USS Thresher Memorial Service .
