The registration desk and auditorium doors open at 1100. The memorial service will begin at 1300.

 

Upon arrival at the R. W. Traip Academy, USS Thresher family and former crew are asked to proceed to the registration desk located on the left across from the entrance to the auditorium.

 

The registrars will provide you with a custom name tag and a program. A US Navy Sea Cadet will provide a red rose to each female in your party. Please please place one rose petal in the wicker basket held by a second US Navy Sea Cadet. The rose petals will be thrown in the water along with the wreath as part of the wreath laying ceremony.

 

Scott McCord, the USS Thresher Family coordinator, will be stationed to the right of the registration desk to greet you and verify that your contact information contained in the USS Thresher Family/Former Crew Contact Database is accurate, and update it if necessary.

 

Once inside the Auditorium entrance, crew members from the Submarines currently undergoing overhaul at PNS will escort you to the family/former crew reserved seating section.
